7/31/2021 - CBAILEY501 LIKES THIS WINE: 90 Points. After some breathing time, the wine opened up with dried cherry aromas and lots of tertiary notes of mushroom, forest floor and tilled earth. The palate was light in fruit, again driven by the tertiary flavors, but still had plenty of acidity albeit lighter in body than some older 1er Crus I've tasted. But for a 22 year-old Beaune 1er Cru, this was a very good bottle. I have another bottle that I will be consuming soon, as there is not a lot of life left in this wine.
3/8/2020 - FLXHONEYMOON LIKES THIS WINE: This wine is in a very nice place right now. We drank it with friends that enjoy older Burgundy and we all agreed that it would also go for many years as well.
3/8/2020 - VAGRANTONE LIKES THIS WINE: 91 Points. I would say the wine is at or just past its peak: very enjoyable, iron/blood, sousbois, evidence of stems. Nice complexity and length.
12/5/2019 - WLAYNE LIKES THIS WINE: 91 Points. Great old burg still providing some wonderful fruit.
10/16/2019 - LEPETITCHATEAU WROTE: 91 Points. Very pleasant, round, gravely and chunky fruit here, classic Beaune in character - and impressive for the vintage.
