Ratings and Tasting Notes:
JS=93-94 This is very serious and shows linear acidity with lots of limes, minerals and hints of vanilla. Full and energetic.
AG=91-93 The 2019 La Louvière Blanc has a very primal bouquet, but there is a good intensity with scents of green apple, lemon, thyme and subtle lychee aromas. Good definition. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and salinity. It is nicely focused with faint tropical notes towards the finish. I admire the cohesion and precision of this La Louvière Blanc, particularly the dab of stem ginger that crops up on the aftertaste. Excellent.
WA=90-92 The la Louviere 2019 Blanc slowly unfolds to offer suggestions of lemongrass, lime blossoms and dill seed over a core of green apples and grapefruit plus a waft of mandarin peel. The medium-bodied palate is delicately played with soft-spoken citrus and apple-inspired layers and seamless freshness, finishing with a zesty kick.
