Collection: Domaine Philippe Charlopin

Philippe Charlopin, the "Godfather of the Côte de Nuits", is one of Burgundy's most respected wine producers. Domaine Philippe Charlopin was founded in 1978 when Philippe purchased his first vines in Gevrey-Chambertin. Philippe was a student of the legendary winemaker Henri Jayer in his early years, and his winemaking philosophy was greatly influenced by Henri. He is an icon of Burgundy, renowned for introducing important innovations in local winemaking and for his elegant, pure and sought-after wines.

Philippe Charlopin is currently one of the most popular wineries in Burgundy. His wines range from basic Marsannay and Cote de Nuits to mid-range Morey Saint Denis, Gevrey Chambertin, Vosne Romanee, and even to high-end Grand Cru. In recent years, Philippe Charlopin has become a super winery that is snapped up in the market. His grand cru wines are even harder to come by. The winery’s wines are always rich and full-bodied, with an extremely delicate taste. The performance of entry-level village-level wines is already amazing. Each year’s wines are sold in limited quantities and are often sold out quickly. The quantity is really very limited!
