JS=93 A bold and generous champagne for Brut Nature, the bone-dry finish mellowed by the ripe-apricot character, plus hints of toast and melted butter. Not super-elegant, perhaps, but gives a lot of pleasure and has entirely its own style. 100% pinot noir. Drink now.

WA=92+ Clouet's NV Silver Brut Nature Grand Cru is a pure Bouzy Pinot Noir that was disgorged without any dosage. This disgorgement displays a medium intense golden colour and a complex and refined bouquet of ripe and pureed apples and discreet chalky as well as brioche aromas. The palate is elegant, straight and fresh, very pure and salty on the finish. This is a challenging Brut Nature that needs to be aged for two or three years to gain complexity and finesse and to smooth its current edges. The finish is mineral, limestone, and salty but also a bit dry at this moment.

AG=91 (100% Grand Cru Bouzy pinot noir fermented in neutral oak; L07): Light yellow-gold. A highly aromatic nose displays lemon zest, fig, pear, and ginger, with a bright mineral overtone. Tangy and precise, offering a complex blend of lime, white flowers, quinine, and dusty minerals. Juicy, tightly focused Champagne, with nervy acidity adding cut to a long, sappy finish. This wine reminded me a lot of an old-school Chablis.
