JS=93 Dried lemon zest, pineapple, mimosa, almond, dried herb and a hint of honey. It’s medium-bodied with crisp acidity and waxy texture. Almond and waxed-lemon notes follow through to a long finish. Some flint at the end. Drink or hold.

AG=92. WS=92 Bright and lively, with straw, peach, yellow apple and lemon peel flavors racing along together, backed by a long quinine note on the finish. Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris. Drink now through 2024.

WA=91 The 2018 Virginie de Valandraud Blanc opens with invigorating notes of freshly squeezed lemons, grapefruit and Granny Smith apples plus hints of struck flint and wet slate. The medium-bodied palate delivers a crisp line of freshness cutting through the clean citrus flavors, finishing on a chalky note.
