Ratings and Tasting Notes:
JS=92 Lots of chocolate, coffee and nut character on the nose and palate. Full body, chewy tannins and a fruity finish. Drink in 2016.
WA=91 The wine was a little closed when I tasted it, but I want to remind readers that I forgot to include the 2011 La Fleur Morange in my review of that vintage in Issue #212 and it is a real winner. It is a stunning example of the vintage and quite drinkable and showy at present. The 2011 is the same blend as the 2013.
WS=89 Offers a toasty frame, with a core of fig, plum and boysenberry fruit, complemented by a spine that delivers a chalky edge for cut and balance. Presents a violet hint in the background. Best from 2015 through 2020.
