Ratings and Tasting Notes:
(RP=93) The domaine's harvest concluded on September 3 with the 2018 Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru La Genelotte, and the wine is showing beautifully, offering up notes of white peach, Meyer lemon, citrus blossom, and stuck match. Medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural, and incisive, it's nicely concentrated and precise, concluding with fine persistence. This is well worth seeking out.
(AG=92) The 2018 Meursault Blagny La Genelottes 1er Cru has just a slight reduction on the nose, a touch of struck match. The palate is well defined with good acidity, citric and tensile. A little closed toward the finish with hints of sour lemon and citronelle. Delicate and pretty, yet I think it will give up to 20 years’ drinking pleasure.
