JS=97-98 A dense and wonderfully layered Luce with a solid centre palate and ever so polished tannins. So long and beautiful. Full body. Flavorful and impressive. One of the best I have tasted.

AG=94 The 2018 Luce della Vite is loaded with inky dark fruit, chocolate, new leather, licorice and espresso. Rich and sumptuous in feel the 2018 is an extroverted wine to be sure, but it avoids the heavy, over-extracted style of the past. What comes through is a natural intensity, texture and radiance of Montalcino. This is very nicely done.

WS=93 Well-marked by toasty, spicy new oak, this dense, dark red is saturated with black cherry, plum and iron flavours. Firm yet refined tannins lend support, as does bright acidity, with fine length. Sangiovese and Merlot. Drink now through 2032.
