JS=96 Gorgeous aromas of crushed stone, blueberries, light chocolate and hints of coffee beans. Full body. Round and very polished tannins and a flavorful finish. Shows wonderful length. This is a new wine that is a blend of wine from Caiarossa (cabernet sauvignon), Duemani (cabernet franc) and Prima Pietra (merlot). Drink or hold. Only 3,000 bottles.

WA=91 This joint effort between three of the area's best wineries—Caiarossa, Duemani and Tenuta Prima Pietra—is a tribute to the coastal Tuscan town of Riparbella. Caiarossa contributed the Cabernet Sauvignon, Duemani the Cabernet Franc and Prima Pietra the Merlot. There is an intense and inky colour to the 2017 Tresoro that is loaded with saturation. Don't expect a whole lot on the nose initially, but you will find plenty of fleshiness and succulence in the mouth and a very nice, ripe taste overall, tempered by plenty of spicy French oak. Celebrate this wine and the province of Pisa with a typical cinghiale alla cacciatora: wild boar with red wine, greens, onions, carrots, celery and rosemary.
