WA=91 From poor limestone soils Becker's 2015 Gewürztraminer Spätlese opens with a very clear and mineral bouquet, whereas the classic Traminer aromas remain discreet and fresh on the nose, perfectly intertwined with smoky flavours of crushed rocks. Round, lush and elegant on the palate, this is a vital and piquant Gewurztraminer in a rather light to medium-bodied and medium-sweet style. The finish is really stimulating, due to its piquancy, raciness and salty/mineral grip. Absolutely delicious wine and not even a percentage heavy or broad.
