Ratings and Tasting Notes:
AM=91 A cool, smoky and restrained array of more elegant white flower aromas are liberally laced with citrus and lychee notes. There is a lovely texture to the round and delicious yet powerful medium-bodied flavours that possess excellent punch along with fine depth and length on the inviting finish. This isn't elegant but it is really quite satisfying.
AG=90-92 (the estate's holding is in Les Brussonnes, on the Santenay side of this appellation): Healthy pale yellow. Musky, smoky scents of yellow peach and gunflint. At once seamless and energetic, showing lovely spicy lift to its intense flavours of stone fruits and white flowers. The wine's silky texture is nicely leavened by a lemony cut. Finishes tactile and firm, with very good verve and lift. A very graceful Morgeot in the making.
