Ratings and Tasting Notes:
(AG=92) The 2017 Virginie de Valandraud Blanc has gained a good bit of body and texture during its aging - qualities that play off the bright fruit nicely. Lemon confit, almonds, dried flowers and chamomile run through this super-expressive, large-scaled wine. The 50% S?millon really comes through in the wine's breadth. The 2017 has the depth and intensity to pair with just about anything at the dinner table. This is one of the better white of the vintage. (JS=92) This is really delicious with sliced lemons and pears and hints of stone and cement. Full-bodied, fresh and vivid with a medium-creamy texture and purity and focus. Second wine of Ch?teau Valandraud white. Drink or hold. (RP=89-91) The 2017 Virginie de Valandraud Blanc is scented of spiced pears, apples and lemongrass with touches of baker¡¦s yeast and jasmine. Medium-bodied, it has great intensity, plenty of refreshing zing and a wonderfully citrusy finish.
