Ratings and Tasting Notes:(RP=91-93) The 2016 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chalumaux, from vines planted in 1946, was cropped at just six to ten hectoliters per hectare this year. It has a harmonious bouquet of Granny Smith apples, fresh pear and subtle scents of passion fruit that betray the sunny period at the end of the growing season. The palate is fresh and crisp with a fine bead of acidity, very succinct and poised with a delightful salinit? on the finish. Excellent.
