Ratings and Tasting Notes:
(JS=93) This offers attractive plums and dark berries with some stony notes, too. The palate has a very plush and rich array of succulent plum-flavoured fruit with good structure and depth. Try from 2022.
(WA=88-90) The 2016 Bad Boy (aka naughty Jean-Luc Thunevin) is a blend of 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and the remainder Merlot. It has a fragrant, quite floral bouquet this year with scents of black cherries, incense and a touch of vanilla pod. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, fresh in the mouth with a citrus line of acidity, slightly granular in texture towards the finish that has a good, Médoc-like structure. This is a fine follow-up to the 2015 Bad Boy.
