Ratings and Tasting Notes:(AM=92) Here the wood isn't subtle anymore and fights a bit with the otherwise fresh and ripe aromas of plum, black raspberry and warm earth. There is excellent vibrancy to the very fresh and intense middle weight flavors that evidence excellent depth of material and fine if not necessarily better length on the moderately austere finish. I like the overall sense of complexity and like several wines in the range in 2011, this is basically a Charmes of finesse and refinement. Note: 80% from Charmes proper with the balance from Mazoy?res; the two parcels total .8 ha. (WS=92) Full of bright, pure cherry fruit, this red is lush and open, with hints of spice and mint accenting the core flavors. Supple and harmonious, delivering a juicy, mouthwatering finish. Fine length. Best from 2016 through 2025. 195 cases made.
