WA=93 The 2012 Kammerberg Spätburgunder Grosse Lage offers a deep and intense bouquet of perfectly ripe berries, plums and indicates great generosity and calmness. Round and elegant, this is a very intense but almost smooth wine with a nice freshness. However, I find it almost a bit too charming.

AG=91 Bright ruby. Smoky aromas of blackcurrant, woodsmoke and roasted hazelnut. Pure, juicy raspberry fruit is layered with complex spices, apparent new oak and ripe tannins. Still a touch austere, but with refined character and persistent length, this Pinot Noir was made from vines planted in 1967 and should age well
