A world-beater in 2014 - Sporting a typical St. Julien blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc, it wafts out of the glass with notes of blackberry, currants, lit cigar, and asphalt. On the palate, the gravelly notes show up to go with deep and sappy black fruit and brown spices with plum. Supple tannins frame the wine and this is best enjoyed now through 2026.
