Ratings and Tasting Notes:
RP=90 Picked on August 21 with 12.8% potential alcohol, the 2018 Bourgogne Chardonnay Golden Jubilee derives from one of Ente's most precocious parcels. Unwinding with scents of citrus oil, pear, green apple, white flowers, and freshly baked bread, it's medium-bodied, ample, and fleshy, with succulent acids, a charming core of fruit, and a precise finish. I suspect that this will age along the lines of Ente's 2011 Bourgogne—a wine that's in its prime today—so don't hesitate to cellar this.
AM=87-89 Outstanding Top Value! This aromatically similar to the regular cuvée with just a bit more citrus influence. There is slightly better volume to the succulent but punchy medium-bodied flavors that possess lovely depth on the citrusy, clean, and notably dry finale. This too is excellent for its level.
